STRENGTH IN THE DAY OF ADVERSITY

Hi guys, I know it’s been ages since I last blogged here. Can you forgive me? Pretty please???
The truth is, I have been through a lot this year, so far, the journey has been far from smooth so much so that blogging has been the last thing on my mind.

THE PROPOSAL

"My goodness! It's so hot in here Amaka, I feel like I'm going to roast sef" Inem said using her folder to fan herself.
"in that case let's sit outside instead under the shade at least we'll get some fresh air that way. Madam, Abeg bring our drinks outside" Amaka said signalling the waitress.
They were just taking a break from moving from one shop to the other in the complex trying to get the shop owners to open accounts with their bank.

YOU ARE THE WIFE, AND SHE IS THE GIRLFRIEND

When the excerpts of OAP Toke Makinwa's book "On becoming" was shared online I couldn't help but remember the words he said to her "you are the wife and she is the girl friend". I was amazed to say the least, this statement was made several years before he got married to Toke and that is exactly what happened- He married Toke and Anita became the side chic. How can someone expose someone he claims to love to that kind of competition?

VALENTINE'S DAY IS JUST ANOTHER DAY

Happy Valentine's day everyone. Do you guys have anything planned for today? Someone should please make me their Val because I'm not doing anything today. I stopped attaching any importance to valentine's day a long time ago because I believe showing love to others shouldn't happen once a year and on the other hand people tend to misinterpret the idea behind this day.

WELCOME TO 2017!

I'm usually very excited this time of the year not just because of the festivities and merriment that go on during this period but because it's a time for stock taking. Companies round up their accounts as well as businesses. Reports are being made on activities that went on in the year. This is how organisations get to know how well or how badly they've performed. Personal stocktaking is not different from this. At the beginning of each year most people draw up a list of things they hope to achieve. Some others come up with new year resolutions, others have a list of prayers that they need God to answer. These are all expectations we have and goals we set for ourselves. Doing this acts as a compass guiding us through the year and helping us stay focused so we do not deviate from the plan.
