Happy international day of happiness! Lol, doesn't it sound odd? This people will not kill somebody oh! We have days for so many different things and its becoming a bit weird.

Well, jokes apart,
I think its great that we have a day set aside to celebrate happiness. To remind us that there's need to be happy in a world where there are so many things to be sad about. In the midst of terrorism, wars, injustice, economic crisis, and poverty, its difficult to truly stay happy. To ensure our sanity amidst all these, we need to consciously work towards seeking  happiness in our daily lives no matter what we go through and I'll like to share a few ways we can do this:

Wake up each day with a positive attitude. There's no such thing as waking up from the wrong side of the bed.

Be determined to stay happy all day long no matter what. Your happiness should not depend on any other person but you. You mustn't give any one the power to spoil your mood.

Do not keep bottling up feelings. If you've been hurt or feel upset by what someone did, let the person know in clear terms, that way you get it off your chest and move on.

Surround yourself with people who appreciate you and bring out the best in you. Nothing compares to positive energy.

Build good relationships with friends and family. Visit places together, have a good laugh, catch up on old times.

Engage yourself in hobbies that you enjoy.

Give back to the less privileged. Help someone who is in dire need of whatever you have to offer. Volunteer in an orphanage or special needs care home.

Most importantly, it is God who gives true happiness. It is only when we put our trust in him that we'll live a truly happy life.

Lest I forget, today was also palm sunday in church and all over the world so happy palm sunday everyone and enjoy the rest of your day.

A happy life is truly achievable, but it requires a conscious effort on our part.
